Be ready for the Sweetest Run of 2020!

We’re making preparations for the sweetest run of the year.

This post includes FAQs, the Race Day Schedule, and Maps!

Q: What precautions are you taking related to COVID?

A: We are working hard to ensure your safety. We have a very detailed COVID Mitigation Plan.

  • Event attendance has been capped to avoid crowds.
  • There are no race day signups
  • Spectators are strongly discouraged
  • Gatherings with fellow participants that are outside of your “bubble” are not allowed.Safety measures include the following:

During registration all participants must sign a social contract agreeing to wear a mask until they are out on the race course and not to attend the event  if they are sick or have been exposed to COVID-19 anytime in the 14 days prior to the event.

When you register you will select from several small group start times.   At the top of each hour, we will call for 25 people to line up in the start corral, socially distanced from one another and wearing masks.  Those participants will be released out onto the course in a controlled manner.  Once the corral has emptied, another 25 people will be called forward to the start corral.  This will continue until all participants that signed up for the start time have started the race (we estimate that this will take approximately 10-15 minutes)!

We strongly encourage participants to come to advance packet pickup to pick up their shirt and bib.

Bring your own water for the course, we will provide sealed bottled water at the finish line.

Volunteers helping with water and/or refreshments will wear masks and gloves.

Participant candy bags and finisher medals will be distributed in a safe manner at the finish line.

Q: Can I register at the race?

A:  No. Walkup registration will not be available on event day.  Please register online by noon on Friday, November 6th or in person during advance packet pickup on Saturday, November 7th at Road Runner Sports in Lone Tree from 11AM-2PM.

Q: Can I pick up my race bib and shirt prior to race day?

A:  Yes you can and you should!

We will be at Road Runner Sports in Lone Tree on Saturday, November 7th from 11AM-2PM.  We would love to see you there!

Q: Where can I find a course map?

A:  The course will be much different this year.  Check it out here.   If you are familiar with traditional 5K courses at Washington Park, this course will look familiar but will be run in the opposite direction than you are used to.
