The Great Candy Run (formerly known as the Race for Fetal Hope) is coming to Atlantic Theaters on Saturday, September 28th. Both Lender Processing Services and Carlisle & Gallagher Consulting Group are longstanding partners of this growing, annual event now in its fifth year.
“Throughout our history, LPS has made community support a fundamental part of our business success, and most especially supporting foundations that benefit children, including those not yet born,” said Michelle Kersch, SVP, Corporate Communications and Marketing, Lender Processing Services.
The event anticipates more than 500 participants and spectators, and will include a traditional 5K run/walk with a competitive Stroller Division, the Gumdrop Kids Fun Run, and a family festival full of games and activities, refreshments, a costume contest, and local entertainment. Unique to this event is the “sweetest finish ever” with a candy buffet by local favorite, Sweet Pete’s candy shop.
“Carlisle & Gallagher Consulting Group (CG) has a strong tradition of charitable giving. The CG Outreach Program supports our brand promise of ‘Inspired to Help You Succeed’ by providing both financial and employee volunteerism to the communities in which our employees work and live,” said Russ Lang, Director at CG. “The Great Candy Run is a great opportunity for CG to support the important work of the Fetal Health Foundation through a day of family fun. We look forward to working side-by-side with other community organizations to bring awareness to these critical fetal syndromes.”
The Great Candy Run benefits the Fetal Health Foundation, a national non-profit leading the way in supporting families and medical treatment centers with regard to intrauterine fetal syndromes like Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS), Lower Urinary Tract Obstruction (LUTO), Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), and Amniotic Band Syndrome (ABS), to name a few.
Registration for this event will take place online at www.thegreatcandyrun.com through September 26th, in all 1st Place Sports locations through September 28th, and begins on Race Day at 7:30 AM. The Gumdrop Kids Fun Run kicks off the event at 8AM, with the main 5K event beginning at 8:30AM.
